Standard geometric formulas are used to calculate the volume of each respective shape:

  • Rectangular Box: Length × Width × Depth
  • Cylinder: π × (Diameter / 2)² × Height
  • Sphere: (4/3) × π × (Diameter / 2)³
  • Cone: (1/3) × π × (Diameter / 2)² × Height

Unit conversions scale from the internal base value (cubic feet):

  • Cubic Yards: Divide cubic feet by 27.
  • Cubic Meters: Multiply cubic feet by 0.0283.
  • US Gallons: Multiply cubic feet by 7.4805.
